AKSU 2025/2026 Admission: Announcement of Admission in Nursing Medical/Health Sciences and Technological Programmes
AKSU 2025/2026 Admission: Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) has officially commenced online applications and screening for admission into Nursing, Medical, Health Sciences, and related programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session. This comes after the National Universities Commission (NUC) granted approval for AKSU to run full-time Bachelor’s degree programmes under the Faculty of Health Sciences, starting from this session.
List of Approved Programmes
The following programmes are open for the 2025/2026 intake:
- Nursing Science (B.N. Sc)
- Public Health (B.Sc.)
- Community Health Science (B.CHS.)
- Health Information Management (B.HIM)
- Science Laboratory Technology (B.Sc.)
- Medical Laboratory Science (B.MLS)
- Environmental Health Science (B.EHS)
UTME Cut-off Marks and Eligibility
AKSU has specified different UTME requirements for Nursing Science and other Health Sciences programmes:
For Nursing Science (B.N. Sc):
- Only candidates who selected AKSU as their first choice in JAMB
- Minimum UTME score: 290
For Other Programmes:
- Minimum UTME score: 265
- JAMB advises candidates who did not choose AKSU as their first choice to apply for a Change of Institution through the portal before registering.
Registration Portal Opening
The online registration portal for AKSU’s 2025/2026 admission exercise opens on Monday, 5 January 2026. Only candidates who complete the online registration process will be considered for admission.

Documents Required for Online Screening
Applicants are required to upload the following documents:
- 2025 UTME Result Slip
- Birth Certificate
- Certificate of Origin
- AKSU PUTME Registration Confirmation Slip (2025)
How to Register
Registration must be completed online via the official AKSU admission portal. Candidates should follow these steps:
- Enroll using their JAMB registration number
- Pay a ₦2,000 registration fee (non-refundable, excluding bank charges)
- Upload scanned documents in JPG format
- Ensure each file size is between 120KB and 150KB – larger files may cause upload issues
Important Warning
AKSU has cautioned candidates against fraudsters posing as admission agents. The university will not be responsible for any transaction conducted with third-party agents.
